RATTLING STICK’S NEW BEAT.
13 July 2018

Rattling Stick have launched Dirty Work - a roster of new talent, as well as setting up a dedicated music video department with producer Emma Wellbelove at the helm.

Welleblove points out that the promo director's craft is more important than ever: "Music videos are so valuable for all directors. They are an opportunity to up creativity and are a hugely accessible short form in which directors continue to push boundaries."

Since many of Rattling Stick's established directors made their mark with promos, Wellbelove thinks it's the ideal environment to nurture the next batch of talent. That's why the company have also introduced DirtyWork - a new wing focussed on up-and-coming talent.

I’m looking to carefully curate and expand DirtyWork with exceptional new talent and make exceptional work, as well as to continue to produce outstanding music videos with our prolific directors.

 ”

The seven-strong launch roster includes Sam Davis, Harry Barber, Pilgrim, Amar Hernandez, Eve Mahoney, and Nathan James Tettey - all of whom caught Rattling Stick's eye with their early forays into promos, TVCs, and short films.

Wellbelove looks forward to overseeing their development, while making sure Rattling Stick's promo output is ahead of the game: "I'm looking to carefully curate and expand DirtyWork with exceptional new talent and make exceptional work, as well as to continue to produce outstanding music videos with our prolific directors. I feel very privileged to be a part of growing the Music Department here."

Equally bullish is Rattling Stick's self-styled First Lady, Katie Keith. While she says the company has always championed promising talent, it's been on the peripheries - now DirtyWork's launch reinforces their commitment.

Keith says: "Nurturing new blood is hugely important to us and launching a dedicated roster reflects both our commitment to this and the growing importance within our industry of talent breeding talent."

We all know how music video has had a renaissance of late and brings real creative opportunity to our directors at every level.

 ”

Keith continues: "To couple this with our first ever music department under the leadership of Emma is an incredibly exciting venture for us. We all know how music video has had a renaissance of late and brings real creative opportunity to our directors at every level. We intend to bring our creative ambitions to the world of music and look forward to the opportunities this opens up for us."

These developments add further depth to Rattling Stick's talent pool while confirming their status in the promo realm. We're excited to see how this new venture flies.
