‘Bet on Yourself' is a long-held passion project of Eaton's, having first met the former nightclub owner, RAF laundry boy, and Olympic bobsledder - among other things - back in 2015. As you can see below, the director's persistence has paid off.
Eaton's inquisitive nature also lends itself to the commercial realm. For example, his ‘Art of Scouting' series for Sky Bet follows veteran talent spotter Mel Johnson up and down the country as he pursues football's next superstar. The result is a personable insight into what is affectionately described as "a lifestyle, not a career".
Documentary isn't the only string on Eaton's bow, however - this ad for French supermarket chain Carrefour features both attractive food photography and just the kind of storytelling nous brands desire. It's also the first of several collaborations between Eaton and the brand.
Nice Shirt Films Executive Producer Richard Martin expects more repeat custom like this, describing Eaton as a "hard-working, focused, charming, and funny" director.
