LET'S GET CRAFTY.
5 June 2018

On Wednesday 13th June, David Reviews editor Jason Stone is curating and presenting a special version of his CraftWorks programme called 'Let's Get Crafty'.

It's part of the line-up at the annual Media Production Show at Olympia in Earl's Court and it's free to attend. Get along to their website and register if you'd like to be there.

CraftWorks is all about celebrating talent and that's what we're going to be doing in a special ninety minute show, with a particular focus on animation and VFX.

1. Eon x Gorillaz

Director Noah Harris, Ludo Fealy of nineteen twenty and Stitch's Max Windows will talk about the making of this award-winning film from last year.

2. Neil Stubbings

Director Neil Stubbings of Jelly London in a Q&A about his passion projects.

3. BBC Tapestry

The BBC's World Cup promo has been getting viewers excited about England's inevitably disappointing performance at this year's tournament. BlinkInk and Freefolk will be talking about how they made it.

4. Young Talent

A quartet of talented young women will be talking about their hopes as they start to make their mark in an industry adjusting to the idea of equality. They are directors Charlotte Regan and Dorothy Allen-Pickard; editor Jennifer Tividad; and VFX Artist Kayley Fernandes.

5. Fable fx

Kaj Steveman will be flying over from Sweden to explain why his company decided to build a VFX zoo.

Let's Get Crafty starts at 15.30 but there's loads more to see and do across the two days of the Media Production Show... and - you never know - some of it might be nearly as good as our bit!
