THOMAS BRYANT HEADS TO BLINK
20 February 2018

Blink have signed award-winning director Thomas Bryant to their roster for commercial representation.

A unique young talent, Bryant first grabbed industry attention directing fashion films for sportswear brands including Nike and The North Face.

His passion for fashion has continued throughout his career, as shown in this steely commercial for Swiss running brand On.

Long-distance runner Chris Thompson stars in the intimate film, which combines home movie footage with beautifully shot slow-motion to create an intimate portrait of the athlete.

I love his style both as a director and as a person. He has a unique approach to film making which feels very fresh.

 ”

Bryant is particularly known for his documentary style, which subtly gets to the heart of what makes his subjects tick and offers it without judgement.

His close-focus film for StubHub takes a look at the sacrifices made by heavyweight champion boxer Anthony Joshua during his rise to prominence. Kinetic and fast paced, the film shows Bryant's ability to mix documentary and drama to create an immersive narrative.

Recently, Bryant has diversified his talents further and shot a number of compelling location-focused commercials for brands such as Visit Britain and Virgin Atlantic.

His 'Island View' film for Virgin, which promises to show off 'the real Tobago', makes good use of Bryant's skills at shooting people as well as scenery. Combining local colour and culture with breathtaking views, the ad offers a highly compelling portrait of the island as a holiday destination.

Paul Weston, MD at Blink, said of the signing: "I've been admiring Thomas' work from afar for a year or so now and I love his style both as a director and as a person. He has a unique approach to film making which feels very fresh. I'm really excited to have the opportunity to develop that further at Blink."

Bryant himself is equally excited to get stuck in at his new home: "I am thrilled to join Paul and the formidable team at Blink, and look forward to crafting some exceptional films in great company."

Thomas Bryant's reel is now live at Blink, so head over and take a look. For more information on him or anyone else on the roster, get in touch with Paul Weston at paul@blinkprods.com or give the team a ring at 020 7494 0747.
