DANIEL BÖRJESSON JOINS BARE FILMS
25 January 2018

Swedish director Daniel Börjesson has rejoined Bare Films' roster for commercial representation.

Börjesson caught the filmmaking bug while studying in Los Angeles, and began his career working as an assistant director and assistant editor on a variety of projects across the US. He subsequently worked as a producer in his native Sweden, before becoming a director.

Börjesson is known for his diverse skillset, and has developed a reputation for being a strong visual storyteller. He credits his experience as a producer with providing an invaluable grounding for his work: "Using my background as a producer helps me a great deal, especially in times like these when you have to be more efficient and be able to create more for less."

It's a joy to be working with Daniel again, he's a fantastic visual storyteller.

 ”

Börjesson's music promo work is widely critically acclaimed, and his renowned eye for detail has led to prestigious work for clients including Giorgio Moroder and Kylie Minogue. His trippy video for 'Right Here, Right Now' shows off his distinctive powerhouse visuals to great effect.

Recently, Börjesson has diversified his skills even further and has been developing an impressive reel of car work.

In films for brands including Suzuki and Chevrolet, Börjesson demonstrates a deft directorial touch which suggests car-focused ads have become something of a speciality. His atmospheric BMW ad 'For A Better World' displays a rare ability to keep a human element at the core of a film focused on something mechanical.

Bare are looking forward to helping Börjesson continue his career in the UK ad scene - and are particularly enamoured with his car work.

Joint MD Clare Timms said of the signing: "It's a joy to be working with Daniel again, he's a fantastic visual storyteller and we are excited to add a director specialising in cars to the roster."

Daniel Börjesson's reel is now live over at Bare Films, so head on over and take a gander. For more information on him or anyone else on the roster, get in touch with Kat Downs at kat@barefilms.co.uk or give the team a ring on 020 7758 4170.
