IT'S A HEY WONDERFUL LIFE FOR DARLING.
5 June 2018

Darling have brought an American twang to their roster by signing production company Hey Wonderful for UK representation. Clare Timms, Kelly Doyle and Kat Downs's global talent search brought them to Hey Wonderful's Los Angeles studio where Downs spotted some familiar faces - namely founder and producer Michael Di Girolamo.

She admits the chance to reunite with Di Girolamo was hard to resist: "Having worked with Michael at his previous company in New York as a sales rep, I am thrilled to be collaborating with him again and the extended Hey Wonderful family across the States, many of whom I know. It really does feel like the gang is back together again!"

Hey Wonderful's nine-strong roster includes the likes of Sam Taylor-Johnson, Tricia Brock, and directing duo Peking. The latter caught Downs's eye as budding filmmakers, and she's keen to nurture more breakthrough talent: "Michael and I have a vested interest in growing directorial talent, Peking being an incredible example. I remember working with them years ago when they were fresh out of school and now they are multi-award winning and helming huge global campaigns."

Di Girolamo believes Downs will ensure this success translates to the UK market: "Kat has always been a tastemaker who brings a welcome mix of passion and insight to everything she does. She is also a great matchmaker for both established and up-and-coming directors with brands and agencies alike. We're excited to have the Darling team on our side!

As Hey Wonderful prepare for their first briefs on these shores, MD Clare Timms adds: "Repping the Hey Wonderful roster in the UK is a fantastic addition to Darling and we are so excited to share the work."
