BLINK SIGNS DAVID DEARLOVE
7 July 2022

Multi award winning director and creative, David Dearlove has joined the Blink family for representation in the UK and the Netherlands.

Dearlove is evidently a hugely talented individual with a large and varied array of work already under his belt and has been exciting us here at DAVID for quite some time.

David's cinema ad for Women's Aid was hard hitting and important to watch. It highlighted the plight of women and children trapped in the toxicity of domestic violence. The ad won a total of eighteen awards... recognition of the strength in the quality of his work whilst dealing with a highly sensitive subject matter.

Notably, his emotionally charged and uplifting work as both creative and director for the Kiyan Prince Foundation won him the Titanium Grand Prix at this year's Cannes Lions. An accomplishment that marks him out as one to watch in the future.

He has such a natural talent for performance and storytelling. I believe directing is his true calling.

 ”

Blink MD, Paul Weston is understandably over the moon with his new signing: “With such a wealth of award winning films under his belt now is the perfect time for David to concentrate on his directing career. When I first saw David's work i thought I was watching something directed by a big established director. He has such a natural talent for performance and storytelling. I believe directing is his true calling. That combined with his knowledge and understanding of the advertising industry and the importance of an idea is something that I am incredibly excited by."

I've always loved that they (Blink) don't constrain themselves to a particular genre or style, only the pursuit of a good idea.

 ”

Equally excited to get started on this new chapter of his career, David says: "As a creative, Blink was always top of the list when it came to looking for a director who could bring my scripts to life. I’ve always loved that they don’t constrain themselves to a particular genre or style, only the pursuit of a good idea. To find myself joining them is equal parts surreal and exciting, and I can’t wait to get started."
