MEGHAN DANIELS JOINS ODELAY FILMS.
6 June 2024

South African director Meghan Daniels says Odelay Films "resonate with me on many levels” as she joins for UK and US representation. An ethical filmmaker through and through, Daniels was drawn to Odelay's social and environmental cred.

"They have a meticulously considered approach to production, which aligns with my own values and aspirations. As a B Corp production company," Daniels says, "they prioritise ethical methodologies, ensuring that their projects are not only innovative but also socially responsible."

Daniels—who calls her new home's output "fresh, unapologetic, contemporary, and hot"—adds: "The team at Odelay also put in the time for conversations, chatting vision, bouncing around ideas, and just catching up and touching base. They care. Joining them is not only an avenue for making work that is beautiful and that matters, but also a platform for creating meaningful change within the industry."

Meghan's work is full of creativity and pace—everything looks effortlessly cool through her lens.

 ”

That's music to the ears of Diane Patrone of The Family NYC (Odelay's partners across the pond): "I've been tracking Meghan for well over a year and am thrilled to finally be working with her. She's already such a standout director and photographer. She has blown past the trendy dynamic camera moves and transitions to put her own, fresh stamp on cinematic style."

The last word goes to Odelay's managing director, Prudence Beecroft: "Meghan's work is full of creativity and pace—everything looks effortlessly cool through her lens. She has a superb work ethic, is multi-talented, is full of charisma, and has a strong creative vision and flair which shines through her work.

"She also feels very aligned with Odelay as a brand, too. She has a grounded worldview and ethos which lands with us as a B Corp. I am excited to get some new collaborations off the ground with such an exciting new signing."
