The live-action trailer for Saints Row, a reboot of Volition's open-world crime series, is an overcaffeinated, in-your-face mess, but at least it works. The same can't be said for the game it promotes.
Bugs, glitches, and technical problems have blighted Saints Row since launch, causing players to fall through the world, restart entire missions, and endure physics-defying traffic jams. Like Cyberpunk 2077 and WWE 2K20 before it, the game has lost credibility mere hours after release.
One character in the trailer even says, "You ain't seen nothing yet—nothing!" Given Saints Row's current issues and publisher The Embracer Group's falling share price, that sounds more like a threat than a promise.
