His stylistically diverse take on treatments makes each piece of work feel unique. His work for Pepsi - part ad, part music promo - makes innovative use of projection to create dreamy, saturated visuals with heavy emphasis on the brand's distinctive blue and red colouring.
At the other end of the spectrum, Ahmad's washed-out work for Reebok makes unusual use of the natural world to create an almost extraterrestrial landscape. Models strut across lunar planes and through skewed cityscapes as clouds of dust and wisps of smoke swirl around them. The film again demonstrates Ahmad's intriguing use of music, as the electronic soundtrack creates an atmosphere of alienation... not something you see every day in a fashion film.
Having directed his first feature 'Ækte Vare' in 2014, Ahmad released his second feature film 'Darkland' earlier this year. The film received widespread critical acclaim, and was shortlisted for entry as Best Foreign Language Film at the Academy Awards. The film combines Ahmad's strong sense of narrative with an unflinching realism. It serves as a grittier, more realistic origin story for a conflicted modern 'superhero'... of sorts.
Furlined MD Olly Chapman praises Ahmad's "hard-nosed realism", and Founder and President Diane McArter said of her company's latest signing: "Fenar weaves together gripping performances and dramatic action seamlessly, creating emotional tension and gut-wrenching anticipation."
