DAX MARTINEZ-VARGAS GETS DOWN AND DIRTY.

American filmmaker and commercial director Dax Martinez-Vargas crosses the Atlantic to join Dirty Films.

Martinez-Vargas honed his craft as an MTV director, meaning he's well-versed in snappy, subversive work. While he also plies his trade as one half of the Sniper Twins, Martinez-Vargas is keen to establish his solo career with Dirty Films's support.

Have I seen any of his work over here? You'll no doubt be familiar with his Carling work. The lager's "Not Quite… " campaign suited Martinez-Vargas's comic sensibilities.

Each instalment allowed him to craft intricate sequences involving visual gigs and stunt work. Those already eyeing 5pm on Friday will appreciate this escapade.

So near and yet so far. He packs a lot into 40", eh? Just one of many attributes Dirty were impressed with. The gang were also taken by Martinez-Vargas's range. His eclectic reel shows he's more than capable of working with humans, puppets, and animals - check out this Three ad to see what we mean.

Good pug action there. Fetching hat, too. As you can see, Martinez-Vargas likes to bring an absurdist bent to his work. Carpet camouflage, knitted helmets... anything to take audiences in an unexpected direction.

We're super excited to unleash Dax on the UK market... [and] look forward to hearing the sniggers.

 ”

For example, these Sky Broadband idents sponsoring ITV Drama underline his ability to spoof everything from gritty cop shows to cricket coverage.

Well played. What are Dirty's thoughts on their new man? They're "super excited to unleash Dax on the UK market". Furthermore, they "look forward to hearing the sniggers" prompted by his work.
