Bumping along the top.
Sponsorship bumpers are not generally considered to be a very glamorous form of advertising... there isn't, as yet, Cannes Lion for the category – though it's probably only a question of time... and, as a consequence, they aren't always great. This collection which advertises the sponsorship of ITV's movies by loveholidays are super smart, and can be considered the exception that proves the rule. Each vignette is a little joke, with a confected movie title providing the punchline. What DAVID particularly likes about these is the quiz element. Once you understand the format, you can guess what movie title is coming your way, but you'd be doing extremely well to get one right, and that makes these all the more fun. They also forge a real connection between the idea of watching movies and the idea of being on holiday, and that's immensely useful to the brand. loveholidays has followed the example of Specsavers in making the most of what can be a golden opportunity.
