"The e.l.f.ing Magical Sisters"

It's magic, you know.

The much-debated reboot of 'Charmed' ended in 2022, but the Power of Three lives on thanks to e.l.f. Cosmetics. Bebe Wood, Priah Ferguson, and Keyla Monterroso Mejia play three pals who are convinced they're honest-to-pagan-God witches. How else could one product deliver such different looks without supernatural interference, eh?

Director Hannah Levy's affectionate piss-take of small-screen fantasy drama lets her three leads channel their inner Charmed Ones, only none of them are able to cast a single spell, walk through a portal, or talk to animals. Note how Monterroso Mejia's magic book is just a common-or-garden dictionary ("Beauty… beaver?")

It all comes to a head when the three warn the mild-mannered mailman not to fall in love with them, lest he wish to die in a weird and/or freaky way. We'll leave you to discover why that'll never happen, but the point is that e.l.f.'s products are less about the supernatural and more about the snatched factor.
