Big news v big mews.

The structure of the joke in this ad for Yorkshire Tea is slightly different from the one that we posted on Friday, and we approve. Normally when two ads break at the same time, they are structured fairly identically, so this is very refreshing and it must have been fun for director Andrew Gaynord to construct two quite different comedy sketches.

The proposition is the same as in the other ad, the other ad, but whereas that is feelgood idea in the tradition of 'The Full Monty', this is a darker idea. It also puts more emphasis on the differential between the normal and gold variants of the advertised tea than the other ad... but both feel like they'll be highly effective at persuading people to try the premium stuff.
