The theory of relatability.

Harold Einstein's signature style is perfect for this ad, one of three new commercials for Wise focusing on the fintech company's USPs. This execution introduces us to Felix, a recent immigrant from Germany, and a friend of his from back home who is absurdly integrated into the British way of life.

Sat in a small deckchair in front of a suburban house under leaden skies, Felix is feeling dispirited because he can't open a bank account. His friend, who has taken advantage of Wise's offer uses a stream of English idioms to demonstrate the value of establishing himself financially in his adopted country.

Harold Einstein has a unique skill for landing this form of comedy and it is perfect for this project because of the way it communicates a very important proposition, and it's one that genuinely affects many of those arriving in the UK.

While it's not as hard as it once was to open a bank account over here, you still need to jump through a number of tricky bureaucratic hoops, and Wise has a solution that will work for the majority of those having difficulties. Any of those experiencing these problems are likely to be sufficiently intrigued by this advert to investigate the service, and will almost certainly find that it provides the answer.
