"Leave it Anywhere: City"

Touch and go.

Ever wondered what happened to the plastic bag from 'American Beauty'? Some say its career peaked way back in 1999, but Dutch e-bike maker VanMoof looked at it and thought, "This is the bag for us." To promote "the world's most advanced anti-theft system", the brand gets the plastic bag to land on one of its bikes and… well, you'll see and hear what happens next.

It reminds us of the scene in 'Sicario' when Kate Macer (Emily Blunt) asks Matt Graver (Josh Brolin) what their objective is and he says: "To dramatically overreact." The way the bike does it on the roof of a multi-storey car park is very funny in its own right, but it also demonstrates how serious the brand is about security. On top of that, the slogan sets off a Hans Zimmer-esque 'BRAAAM' which breaks the silence for good.

Accidents are bound to happen with this technology, but when presented in such a simple, memorable way, the target market's likely to bite. As for the plastic bag, let's hope it makes the most of its comeback.
