Uber

Gone with the wind.
Everyone has regrets, many of them the result of unforced errors. Take the man in this Uber commercial, for example—he's bought a bunch of balloons for someone's sixtieth birthday and, would you believe it, the wind's started to pick up. When the woman he's with suggests they hitch a ride, he insists they can weather the storm. Oh dear, as people like to say, dear. The only word uttered in director Greg Gray's spot is—you guessed it— Uber, so the rest of the ad plays out like a near-silent comedy. We like how Gray and the brand take the mick out of the bloke (the inflatable number he's left with sums it up well), plus it's bound to resonate with viewers who see trouble ahead and get frustrated when others throw caution to the, er, wind.
