Despite all the optimism of Tennent's Lager's ad in May, Scotland did what Scotland do and failed to get out of their group so we return to Rory McCann in a pub waxing lyrically once again. As his optimism been dimmed by the events of June? Of course not, he's already looking forward to qualifying for the Euros in 2028 when, surely, Scotland will emerge from the dust of football history and lay their hands on a trophy... or not.
