Owen goal.
Spanish-language television station Telemundo wants to help Owen Wilson (yes, that Owen Wilson) become fluent in the world's second-most spoken language. Why? Because it wants him to commentate on the 2026 World Cup in the US, Canada, and Mexico. We never had the star of 'Loki' and 'Stick' down as a soccer fan, but there you go. Time's not on the Dallas-born actor's side, though (the tournament starts on June 11). That's where Sofía Vergara ('Modern Family', 'Griselda') comes in, with the Columbian-American actor happy to help throughout Febrero, Marzo, Abril, and Mayo. Fair play to the man: he practises wherever he goes, takes Vergara's feedback well, and criticises the referee like a dyed-in-the-wool supporter. He even manages to impress Telemundo's veteran commentator Luis Omar Tapia, though it's more that he lip-syncs a good game rather than talks one. We also hope Vergara gets to watch Colombia in action and not just Argentina (you can understand why the brand chose footage of Lionel Messi, as Major League Soccer's MVP continues to draw the crowds).
