Think of the children.

This commercial represents a change of pace for SickKids, also known as the Hospital for Sick Children. For many years, the brand has focused on heightened tales of survival and fortitude with young patients front and centre. In this grounded 60" spot, however, the kids are nowhere to be seen—the 'cast' is made up of home hazards that can burn or scald youngsters.

It could be an iron that's plugged in, a pan on the stove, a hot beverage placed at the edge of a table, or a faucet in the bathroom (director Nolan Sarner draws on face pareidolia to make the latter resembled a three-eyed monster that scorches its victims). "All it takes is a second" to slay these beats, if you will—pick up a mug here, move a handle there, and prevent unnecessary visits to the advertised hospital.
