Shows like 'Top of the Pops' and 'Soul Train' may have bitten the dust, but their spirit lives on in music videos like 'Does She Know'. The man everybody's tuned in for is Sekou, who dons a silk shirt and plaid shorts for the occasion. The rest of the cast scrub up just as well, it has to be said, all thanks to the work of Ellie Rimmer, Shahiyan Mason, and Alice Lawson.

They help everyone look the part in director Iggy London's feel-good throwback, which fits Sekou Sylla's retro sound like a glove. From the background coloured like a gold record to a mirrorball Alex Turner would no doubt approve of, it's a throwback that also cements Sekou's status as a modern gem—one who's learned to trust his gut as time goes on.

As warm and honeyed as 'Does She Know' sounds, the lyrics are tinged with uncertainty and deceit ("Would she still be in love/If she knew what was in your heart?") The way Sekou delivers them, it’s clear they come from a real place away from the studio lights.
