"What Would Happen If You Felt a Little Bit Better Every Day?"

3 August 2026

60s

Memories of a mushroom.

Last year, Ryze introduced a CG mushroom named Rye to the world. Twelve months later, the baby fungus returns for another commercial directed by Bertie Ellwood, who somehow resisted the urge to chop it up and put it in a cheeky risotto or beef Stroganoff. No doubt the client appreciates it, eh?

It'll also appreciate what Ellwood has delivered second time round: a 60" trip down memory lane “inspired by a real story”. The word "inspired" is very important, as anyone who claims their life was changed by a sentient mushroom needs help right away. Turns out Rye keeps a scrapbook, and one page catches its eyes good and proper.

We're led to believe a woman's life has been transformed by mushroom coffee—so much so that she's able to knit clothes for the whole family. Could she knit us some earplugs to block out the drippy soundtrack, perchance? It waters down what's otherwise a charming brew.
