But what about the lasagne?

Actor Max Greenfield channels his character Schmidt from 'New Girl' in an ad for Rubbermaid that has him distracted by the mess on a dinner table that is background in the foreground as a drama unfolds elsewhere in the room. The ad makes a specific case to a specific group of potential customers who can relate to the idea that nothing else matters when there's stuff to tidy away.

Director Zach Math balances the two elements perfectly, ensuring the audience is swiftly invested in Mom's astonishing news that she is not who her family thought her to be. He coaxes performances that hit 60mph in less than a second, before Greenfield weighs in with the calmness of a man who has a solution to what he considers to be a much more pressing problem... leftovers that need to be neatly put away.

It all adds up to a highly effective piece of advertising that will surely have many punters Googling Rubbermaid... let's just hope they type carefully.
