The Red Bull Wololo 2026: Londinium, the ultimate Age of Empires tournament, took over London from 1–6 April, culminating in a grand final at the iconic Royal Albert Hall. Marking the venue’s first-ever esports event, the finale even featured a 40-piece orchestra, setting an impressive bar for the future of live gaming events.

It’s only fitting that the opening film matched that level of ambition and this live-action production does just that. Shot aboard a replica 16th-century galleon, it follows a crew of sailors journeying down the Thames towards the Royal Albert Hall, all while belting out an irresistibly catchy sea shanty. It's performed by none other than the London Welsh Male Voice Choir and guaranteed to live rent-free in your head for days.

On paper, a mash-up of gaming, 16th century sailors and the Royal Albert Hall, doesn't make sense. But through sheer commitment to a bold, high-end production, it comes together into something spectacular that has that all important feel good factor.
