We’re late to the party with this (the ad came out earlier this year), but this commercial by Omoda is too good to miss altogether.

Uncommon take a refreshing approach to selling cars. Gone are the bendy roads set in a scenic but unspecific location, with whatever car’s being advertised driven by a man of a certain age, gripping the wheel with a look of contentment pasted across his face.

Instead, the creatives have decided to try a new lane. The Omoda 7, parked up in a studio, doesn’t even move an inch and is covered by a multitude of cats. For some, this might be a nightmare, but as a secret cat lady, this is exactly the type of advertising DAVID dreams of.

To top off the unique visuals, Soundtree’s sound design alternates between soothing ASMR purring and a D&B track, demonstrating the noise-reducing glass that comes as standard. It’s a crafting triumph.

The results are pretty special and set Omoda clearly apart from the competition.
