Novartis
"Relax Your Tight End"
30 January 2026
60s

Sweet release.
When we say tight ends are paid much less than quarterbacks, wide receivers, defensive linemen, et cetera, "much less" is still like $19.1 million for George Kittle or $22.5 million for Colby Parkinson. You can either play the world's smallest violin at this point, or watch them star in a Super Bowl commercial about tight ends of a different sort. Directed by Eric Wareheim for pharmaceutical company Novartis, the ad lets Kittle and Parkinson, plus retirees Greg Olsen, Tony Gonzalez, Delanie Walker, Vernon Davis, and Rob Gronkowski, unwind like never before. Whether it's Parkinson in the pool, Gonzalez in nature, or Kittle in the artist's chair, these are relaxed tight ends... now the brand wants viewers to relax their tight ends. It reckons too many clenched buttocks are the result of what men think a prostate cancer test will involve, like a hand up one's fudge tunnel. Former coach Bruce Arians is here to tell them that a low-key, prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood test could do the trick instead. We like how him and Gronkowski ride off into the sunset together on horseback after a job well done... such an American, ahem, end to a commercial.
