"Your Future's On Its Way"

What might be.

Now that 'Stranger Things' is done and dusted (until it comes back in some shape or form), what's Netflix's plan for 2026? Cancel that show you love after one damn season? It's always a possibility, we're sad to say. We are, however, confident that the shows alluded to in this preternatural commercial are safe from the axe... for now.

Director Show Yanagisawa puts the lead character through the ringer here. She sees flashes of Netflix shows and characters whatever she does, wherever she turns, from a brief look at Oscar the Grouch in a bin to the 'One Piece' logo that appears at the bottom of her travel mug. Before her mind's eye is overwhelmed, she's drawn to the power of tarot (accessed through a corner shop).

Her warped reality is witty and well realised, though viewers must wait to see where the cards take her. We suspect the all-powerful algorithm will also have a part to play, mind you.
