A shitshow.

This Belgian ad for Mobile Vikings explains that they can provide brilliant access to the internet, but what you choose to do with it is your own affair, and - to judge by the young man in the ad - that isn't necessarily going to be wise. In a bid to impress the object of his ardour, he has planned a number of romantic surprises, but these start to go wrong, and continue going wrong.

The script provides the ad's director - Taso Alexander - with the opportunity to show off some serious slapstick skills, and the opportunity is grabbed with both hands. The escalation is funny, with the final calamity kind of left to the viewer's imagination. It's a mature client who will allow everything to go this badly when they are advocating for punters to use their service, so hats off to them, and to the agency that talked them into it.
