Pull Over

Put American rapper Ludacris, a fleet of cars, and the visual sensibility of Tex Avery films in a blender and you get the music video for 'Pull Over'. Ludacris by name, ludicrous by nature, the promo throws everything at the wall and sees what sticks. Some of it lands on the floor and needs to be mopped up, but the rest leads to a live-action cartoon that's almost guaranteed to put a goofy smile on your face.

With the track in the passenger seat, the clip drives at viewers with nutty abandon. One moment Luda has corncrows, the next he’s got a giant afro that needs to be cut with a chainsaw; flatten him with a truck, he'll get right back up again and unveil a car made of women, i.e. dancers who know all about bodywork. Some shots make us wonder if the rapper's a huge fan of 'Me, Myself & Irene'... and if the VFX department's recovered yet.

The result has a whole lot of screws loose, and we're glad they were never tightened. Otherwise, we might not have been treated to a dog's-mouth view of Ludacris and company.
