In 2004's 'Spider-Man 2', Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) worked as a delivery boy for Joe's Pizza. The game based on the film then let players deliver pizzas for themselves, accompanied by one of the most demented pieces of video game music ever composed. Thanks to these pop-culture hits, Spider-Man and pizza have been inseparable ever since.

That bond has led to a Little Caesars commercial where two construction workers attempt to eat pizza "just like Spider-Man"—namely, by hanging upside down from a girder. Unlike Spider-Man, the pair only have standard-issue ropes to support them. No prizes for guessing what happens next, or who leaps off a nearby roof in hot pursuit.

Led by the fall guys' light-hearted peril and complemented by footage from 'Brand New Day', the latest Tom Holland Spidey-flick, the ad leans into that cheesy New Yawk energy familiar to franchise veterans. They too must have expected a pizza called the Webberoni to show up sooner or later!
