Momoa, mo problems.
A Minecraft Movie's Jason Momoa swaps blocks for bricks to promote World Play Day—also known as International Day of Play—for Lego, though all is not well at HQ. Concerned by a lack of interest in the event, the board of directors (all made from Lego, of course) wonder if playtime's over forever. Thank goodness, then, for solar panel salesman 'playmaker' Momoa. Soon to be seen as Lobo in 'Supergirl', the Hawaiian talks everyone through the five Ps of play: collaboration, resilience, problem solving, confidence, and creativity. OK, so there’s only P in there, but when you deliver a low-budget, high-energy presentation like Momoa does, it's easy to ignore such quibbles. Desperate times call for desperate measures, after all. His lovable hunk schtick works well for the brand, as does his commitment to the oh-so random humour (fans of Windows XP wallpapers and WordArt are well catered for). Though the ad is meant to encourage adults to get children invested in play, a brief glimpse of Momoa's home life reminds us that grown-ups are allowed to have fun, too. Good luck to whoever has to tell Momoa to get back to work.
