Don't Invite Me

The promo for 'Don't Invite Me' is a real change of pace for Taunton-born, Liverpool-based singer-songwriter Jessie Monday. She uploads lots of songs to YouTube, and it's pot luck whether she's in her kitchen, bedroom, study, et cetera. Every so often, she performs in a church or museum for kicks.

Official debut single 'Don't Invite Me' gets the full promo treatment, however, exploring two sides of the artist in a public toilet. The Monday in a teal trench coat is pensive and introverted, while the Monday in a red dress is flirty and outgoing (plus she's always got a party popper to hand).

The lyrics scream teal, though, as the singer-songwriter seems eager to recharge her social battery at long, long last: "So let me go/Stop inviting me." Ideal music for when the nights draw in and the trench coat collar goes up.
