Window

By the end of the latest Foo Fighters promo, Craig Parkinson (Matthew Cottan in 'Line of Duty' and Martin the Tout in 'Black Books') has seen it all. He plays a window cleaner who cannot help but peek into the lives of tower block residents, but not for too long, mind you—he's got a lot of windows to clean before the day is out.

Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Chris Shiflett, Rami Jaffee, and Ilan Rubin are nowhere to be seen in Jake Erland's vertiginous music video, but we hear what they've been up to through Parkinson's headphones. Anchored by Grohl's trademark rasp, 'Window' is indeed a song to nod your head to, with a riff that pulls you right along.

The same goes for Erland's empathetic visuals, which celebrate how people love, fight, create, grieve, exercise, and even party at home, whatever floor they happen to be on. Separated by glass, Parkinson still feels connected to those inside (the ways he uses Windolene and a squeegee to communicate a low-key delight so high above the ground).
