"The Rush"

On the charge.

It's no secret that EE's got a knack for needle drops. Last month, we got 'Born Slippy' by Underworld—next we have 'Gotta Get Thru This' by Daniel Bedingfield, of course. The garage track topped the charts in both 2001 and 2002, so it's bound to make viewers of a certain age sit up and take notice. When they do, they're also treated to yet more stand-out visuals from directors Louis McCourt and Daniel Wolfe.

The two work hard to capture the stress of rush hour, as rail passengers sweat over platform numbers and compete for signal like it's an Olympic sport (there's still time for the IOC to workshop it before Los Angeles 2028). Tetchy, frazzled camerawork aims to put viewers in the thick of it, but not for too, mind—just enough to make them envy the passengers who forge ahead thanks to 5G+.

Once known as 5GSA, it helps savvy cast members become a bit of a blur as they put faster speeds, robust coverage, seamless connectivity, and all that jazz to good use. Anyone who's had to shepherd kids through a busy station will think "lucky so-and-so" as he turns into a hi-vis blur, able to lead his young charges to the promised land platform.
