Dyson Toothbrush

"CameraJet"

3 September 2026

40s

Spitball.

On the day driverless taxis began heaving passengers around London and we were obliged to ask, 'Do we really need this?' Dyson have introduced an electric toothbrush which can apparently live stream the inside of your mouth, and we were able to stop worrying about driverless taxis and start worrying about this instead. That said, while the answer to the question 'do we need this?' may be 'no', the answer to the question 'do we want this?' may well be 'yes', particularly if the question is put to a man who's bought all the other Dyson products over the years.

The ad is clearly designed for this mentality... that of the man who really feels that you can't have too many gadgets. And it makes it look like toothbrushing can finally be competitive, which is also bound to appeal to the aforementioned men. It's a whizzy, fast-moving explosion of SFX and VFX, and it's persuasive even for those of us generally unimpressed by James Dyson's output. It's going to be interesting to find out how sales go.
