Putting the cat in Katsu.

VCCP and Thomas Ormonde bring anarchy to the simple process of ordering food from Domino's in this eye-catching commercial for the fast food outfit. Millennium FX created the fabulous in-camera cat puppet, and Untold Studios created the buffalo that rides in at the end, and, clearly, both companies were at the top of their game.

As well as co-ordinating all of the above, director Ormonde had to coax the baffled looks from the couple faced with the strange intruders, and he nailed it.

Indeed, the key to delivering this successfully was matching the absurdity of the interventions with as low a key response as possible, and that's exactly what has been pulled off. It strengthens the comedy to have a really understated reaction, and the straight faces here ensure you pay attention to the advent of the new Chick’n’Dip products as well.
