"Croc"

Bashing the crocs.

This wonderfully silly Australian ad for Columbia Sportswear has a park ranger - none other than the late great Steve Irwin's son Robert - agilely making his way through a swampy stretch of bush courtesy of his footwear. He's able to outrun the chasing crocs, that serve here as an absurd representation of both the life-threatening semiaquatic reptiles, abundant in Australia, and an absurd representation of the plastic clogs, abundant wherever people are.

Director Tim Bullock can always be trusted to turn up the comedy dial to the perfect pitch and here he's been great assistance by the team led by production designer Laura Elkington in creating the fantastic crocodile costumes that make this a stand-out piece of content.

The retroactive 'casting' is spot on too, as it can plainly be seen that Irwin is a dish as he completes his dash... (something else can be plainly seen if you're so minded but we'll leave that to you and your pause button!)
