Backchat.

Did Claude nail their imitation of a certain well known AI chat bot? Absolutely! From the song choice to the laggy responses there's so much to love in this fab ad. Some might even argue that there's as much shade being thrown by this ad out of Mother London as Kendrick Lamar's infamous diss track 'Not like us'.

You have to admire the combative nature of this campaign - this ad is one of four in an excellent series directed by Biscuit's Jeff Low.

It's less than three weeks since Open AI revealed to the world that ChatGPT would soon carry advertising, so this is a hell of a speedy response, even allowing for the possibility that Anthropic anticipated that their rival was planning on making the change.

It's bold too. By making this ad, Anthropic are taccitly making a commitment to keep Claude free of advertising, and given the current economics of AI, that's going to be a hard promise to keep. Your move, Altman!
