Brazil Believes

Brahma’s FIFA World Cup 2026 ad is a thing of beauty.

A newspaper declaring that 72% of Brazilians don’t believe Brazil can win a sixth World Cup is screwed into a ball and played through city streets and across the beach, passed from one Brazilian to another. Along the way, each touch recreates an iconic moment from Brazil’s World Cup history.

It’s beautifully crafted. Considering the sheer number of unforgettable moments Brazil has given throughout the years, an impressive amount of restraint has been shown - this film could have been easily over-egged.

The storytelling, the music choice, and the colour grade all work together, adding layers and turning the film into a celebration not just of their football heritage, but of Brazilian culture and national pride.

The appearances from Brazilian legend Ronaldo Nazário and current Brazil manager Carlo Ancelotti actually adding so much to the storyline then star power alone. Ancelotti’s closing line is especially powerful: “This is Brazil. Let yourself believe.” After that delivery, it’s hard not to.
