"Fair Seas"

Sending out an SOS.

Harry George Hall writes and directs a timely spot for the Baltic and International Maritime Council (BIMCO). With the Strait of Hormuz now the most talked-about waterway in recent memory, 'Fair Seas' focuses on Seeni and Prachi—two sailors on ships increasingly vulnerable to piracy and conflict. What they do "keeps the world turning," but it's getting so much harder.

Meaningful work ("When the cargo is lowered and the engine starts, we feel part of something so much bigger than a ship") and some of the bluest skies possible offer little comfort to those the brand claims get "unfairly blamed or imprisoned after maritime incidents". As the world sweats over the Strait of Hormuz's fate, Hall's film encourages viewers to think about the sailors trapped in troubled waters through no fault of their own.
