Inglewood-born singer Rebbeca Marie Gomez, better known as Becky G, is proud of her Mexican roots. That's why the promo for 'EPA' takes place in El Mercado de Los Ángeles, a three-storey market chock-full of Latin food, drink, murals, cowboy boots, and knick-knacks. Oh, and colossal ice cubes meant to be smashed with a sledgehammer à la Triple H.

Gomez's other weapon is her ability to make everyone around her do the perreo, a dance that’s all twerk and all play. Director Olivia De Camps and choreographer Tyrik J Patterson want the cast to sweat, damn it, and go about that task with supple and irresistible diligence. As the singer hops between Spanish and English like a crossover queen, the language of dance fills El Mercadito.
