Back in the game.
Four Audis are up to no good at the racetrack in this mischievous piece of marketing which serves to remind us that the German car manufacturer is participating in Formula One these days. They also want to let us know that they are producing electric vehicles, hence the tagline "it's always the quiet ones". It is a blessed relief to know that BBH London has been given the task of advertising Audi once again... they may have had the account for the last few years, but there has been some imported dross in that time, which has fallen well short of the standards they have set. Although this doesn't belong in the top tier of Audi work, it is a massive improvement on what's gone before and director Elliott Power has done extremely well to operate within a regulatory minefield that must've imposed all kinds of restrictions on what the cars could and couldn't be shown doing. Car advertising is a war of attrition and no single execution can truly turn a consumer's head; instead, the aim is to persuade the market over time that their marque is worthy of consideration. So, come on, Audi, keep the faith and allow BBH London, with whom you have an historic relationship, to build a tranche of TV advertising that will make you pre-eminent once again.
