Arval
"No Catch"
19 May 2026
90s

Daddy investigates.
Whatever the product or service, there's always a catch, right? The man in this 90" Arval commercial thinks so. Like Charlie Kelly in 'It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia', he's spent way too much time alone with his thoughts. The guy's wound up with a conspiracy board he thinks proves the vehicle leasing company has misled consumers—if only his dog, his lawyer, and his family could understand. As is so often the case when brands go down the conspiratorial route, a lot rests on the quality of the production design. We're pleased to say Martins Straupe delivers for directors Blok (Paul Casey and Richard Jobson), who revel in the glut of files, photographs, and documents that every good conspiracy needs. It's a tad overlong as the wife and daughter (plus Frank the postman) pull focus from the brand's transparent approach to car shares, but that's not enough to detract from the paranoid fun.
