Hard to churn down.

Why get blootered when you can get buttered? That's what Anchor wants to know, as the brand bids farewell to its 'Butter the Food, Butter the Mood' era that started in 2022. New agency Havas leaves the high street altogether and heads for the canal, where we see what someone under the influence looks like.

She's a woman too enamoured by a crumpet lathered in butter to notice a narrowboat about to sink. In the foreground, her and the product exist in a halcyon haze—in the background, it's 'Great Canal Journeys' meets 'Titanic'. Director Andrew Gaynord has plenty of fun with both, but the captain’s attempt to save the air fryer from a watery grave is a real standout.

Yet it's the two kids on the bikes who ensure the spot lands as well as it does. "She's been on the double churn" and "She's absolutely buttered" make the product sound more potent than any other dairy product, so those in dire need of a fix must think Anchor.
