West get it seen to.
DAVID’s in the mood to replay 'Red Dead Redemption 2' thanks to this rootin' tootin' Amazon commercial. When an Old West gang spots a steam train over yonder, it's time to do what they do best: ride like the wind to music inspired by Ennio Morricone. There's always one member of the gang who lets the side down, though. First his hat falls off, then he quits the chase due to, er, chafing. Suffice to say he's nowhere near the best in the West, but he does possess what no other outlaw has: a smartphone and an Amazon account. Saddle sores and a hatless bonce may have cost him a hefty payday, but what he orders from the advertised retailer's bound to help the next raid go off without a hitch. It’s criminal how good the whole thing looks, from director Michael Spiccia's grasp of dusty, dangerous action to cinematographer Lol Crawley's visuals ripped straight from spaghetti Westerns. Coupled with Sofie Borup's sun-baked grade, it's a consummate reminder of what the craft's all about. Amazon's 'Save the Everyday' campaign's had some great instalments so far, but this might be the (chafing) cream of the crop.
