Bread dead redemption.
Leo Chicago's 'It's an Aldi Thing' campaign aims to help American customers get the most out of the brand, whether they're late to the party or early adopters. And what's the best way to make the unfamiliar familiar for our friends across the pond? That's right—stick a cowboy in the bread aisle and let him break down what Aldi brands are all about. He could pull out a gun and force them to try new things Old West-style, but he's no black hat. Instead, he convinces a couple to "taste with your mouth, not your wallet". Played by Jeffrey Johnson, the cowboy sounds like a man who's seen too many good folk spend more than they need to on bread, so he'll do what he can to help customers survive the frontier weekly shop. From his warm demeanour to the way he whips a bag of brioche buns over his shoulder ("It's sloppy joe night"), the idea helps Aldi brands come across as both adventurous and sensible. DAVID would say it'll help newcomers fall in loaf with the retailer, but he suspects the cowboy would challenge him to a duel.
