Fuel crisis.
Why fight hunger when you can end it? That's what US grocery brand Albertsons wants to know. With food insecurity on the rise and the American Dream in freefall, the company wants action to be taken. One in five children already go hungry, it says—and since when is playtime better on an empty stomach? To ram home the point, director esteban reminds viewers what free time for well-fed boys and girls is supposed to look and sound like. OK, it won't sound like Bob Dylan's 'Wigwam' all the time, but when they're free to laugh, scream, sing, and shout—not worried about if they'll get to eat again anytime soon—it’s music to even the most grumpy neighbour's ears. Natural performances and an endless summer grade courtesy of Julien Alary makes this a feel-good spot that also provides (you guessed it) food for thought: how has it got this bad? When in doubt, look to the White House. Last year, Donald Trump cancelled the US Department of Agriculture's food security survey, which makes the impact of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program cuts harder to measure. Won't somebody please think of the children... because Trump and company sure as hell won't.
