"Frankenstein's Monster"

3 November 2025

2 mins

Monstrous curiosity.

Not fussed about Guillermo del Toro's 'Frankenstein'? Then maybe Lance Acord's take on the story for Xfinity is more up your street. 'Imagine That' sees the Creature try and fail to grasp the word "boy", much to scientist Victor's chagrin. When the latter leaves for the night, the former's at a loose end… until he discovers the box that changes his second life forever.

Thanks to 'Love Island USA', 'Pride and Prejudice', National Football League coverage, and social media, Frankenstein’s monster not only learns what it means to be human (or a human in thrall to content at least), but also how to cut his own bangs—that fringe was so 1931, after all. The result is a family-friendly take on the source material that's more about screen time than scream time.
