Luke Littler was here for a good time, not a long time. Much to his older rivals' delight, the youngest ever world darts champion has retired at the age of eighteen (he even places his darts on a chair like the Undertaker dropped his gloves, hat, and trenchcoat in the middle of the ring at WrestleMania 33). So long, Alexandra Palace—hello to 180 Acres Retirement Home.

This, believe it or not, is the plot of an Xbox commercial. It explains why Littler’s fellow residents include Angryginge (Morgan Burtwistle), ShaunaGames (Shauna Ward), and bateston87 (Jamie Bateson)—streamers and content creators who also want to take it easy after such, er, long careers. We say take it easy, as Burtwistle enters murder-death-kill mode after a game of draughts.

It's not mean-spirited, per se, but there is a whiff of 'let's poke fun at older people' (one resident’s fast asleep in his chair, while another holds up the gang as she pushes a tea trolley). It's a shame as we rather like Littler's desire to play 'EA Sports FC 26' in peace—the Ally Pally crowd would never be quiet enough to let him savour a Manchester United win.
