This ad for Uber is heavily reliant on the charisma and talent of Australian musical comedian Tom Cardy, and the willingness of Shania Twain to be a good sport, so it's just as well that director Christopher Riggert was able to coax the best possible performances from his stars. To manage that feat under the best of circumstances would take some skill; to manage it when all the action, apart from a brief fantasy sequence, is contained within the back of a car is nothing short of astounding.

The pitch from Uber is that none of the fun would be possible if one of the two was driving the car. This is true, of course, but that doesn't mean we'd recommend you try these kinds of shenanigans when you're in the back of an Uber. Unless you have Shania Twain with you... only then might you get away with it.

Like an Uber passenger who survived a journey, we're giving this five stars.
